Who we are

TexBrain (texbrain.com) is a fabric and fiber decision guide. We help people choose the right textile materials for their projects by providing detailed property comparisons and recommendations.

What data we collect

  • Page views: We record which pages are visited, including the page URL, locale, and a random session identifier. No login or account is required.
  • Click events: When you click an affiliate link or call-to-action, we record the click type, the page you were on, and the affiliate platform (e.g. Amazon).
  • UTM parameters: If you arrive via a tagged link (e.g. from Pinterest or a shared URL), we capture the UTM source, medium, campaign, and content values for attribution.
  • Session storage: We store a random session ID and UTM parameters in your browser's session storage. This data is cleared when you close your browser tab.

We do not collect names, email addresses, payment information, or any data that identifies you personally.

Cookies and tracking

TexBrain does not use cookies for tracking. We use browser session storage (cleared on tab close) to maintain a consistent session identifier and UTM attribution within a single visit.

Affiliate links

Some pages contain links to products on Amazon and other retailers. These are affiliate links — if you make a purchase through them, TexBrain may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are clearly disclosed on each page where they appear.

TexBrain is a participant in the Amazon Associates Programme.

Third-party services

  • Vercel: Hosts our website. May process request metadata (IP address, user agent) as part of standard web serving. See Vercel Privacy Policy.
  • Amazon: When you click an affiliate link and land on Amazon, Amazon's own privacy policy applies to your interaction with their site.
